Community Music Division

Today is Blue Demon Challenge, DePaul University's day of giving, when alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff come together to support the people, programs, and spaces that make DePaul so special.

The Community Music Division (CMD) offers high-quality music instruction to over 600 individuals in the Chicago area, from children to adults, and beginners to the most advanced students. CMD provides opportunities for serious musical study in a nurturing environment where students can reach their full potential.

Taught by an outstanding faculty of 70 artist-educators, the school's comprehensive curriculum includes individual instruction on almost every instrument and voice, an early childhood program, and performance ensembles. The CMD serves additional communities through its partnership program with seven Chicago Public Schools. We are committed to an inclusive learning environment that respects the diversity and perspectives of all participants.

Your donation allows us to provide significant financial assistance to students on campus and tuition-free musical instruction to students in our CPS Partnership Programs.
